POLAR SPECIALISTS:

Between them, our leaders have made hundreds of polar voyages and bring on board a diversity of interests including zoology, polar history, geology, ornithology and ocean sciences. Their knowledge and expertise shine through our informal education program, with presentations and discussions on all aspects of the polar experience.

All our voyages are led by a carefully selected team of dedicated and enthusiastic expedition staff, chosen not only for their local knowledge and wealth of experience but also their great love of our destinations.

Rather than the more traditional cruise-ship entertainment, our team will bring our destinations to life through informal talks, walks and hikes ashore, interpretive Zodiac excursions and one-to-one or small group conversations.

With our small passenger capacity, the onboard experts are always available to answer any questions on the natural and cultural history of the places visited. You will never disembark feeling short-changed by the destinations you have visited. We select teams of experts that include ornithologists, geologists, historians, marine biologists, botanists, astronomers, glaciologists, artists, photographers and general naturalists.

The nature of our trips mean that every voyage is unique. Each sighting is as special for our experts as it is for our passengers who are inevitably swept along by the experts’ enthusiasm.
